NORMAN - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team starts its fall slate of tournaments at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach Golf Links Sept. 2-4.  The 54-hole event features seven other teams, including in-state foe Oklahoma State and the reigning national champion, Stanford. Arkansas, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt comprise the remainder of the field. It is the first women's Carmel Cup, and previously had been played by men's teams since its inception in 2011. Nina Lang, Maria Fernanda Martinez, Mikhaela Fortuna and Meagan Winans return to the OU lineup and are joined by newcomers Raychel Nelke and Savannah Barber. The Sooners are under the direction of Veronique Drouin-Luttrell and associate head coach Ryan Sirman. Oklahoma has made 10 NCAA Regional appearances under Drouin-Luttrell and competed in the Albuquerque Regional to conclude the 2022 season.

All three rounds will be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links (par 72, 6,156 yard course).

Fifty-four holes will be played over three days with 18 holes each day starting Friday, Sept. 2.
