A professional cleaner has shared the trade secrets to ensure every kitchen stovetop sparkles like they’re brand new.
‘I’ve cleaned every type of stove top that is out there,’ said Kacie Stevens, owner of Melbourne-based cleaning company The Big Clean Co.
‘Stainless steel, enamel, ceramic, glass, gas, electric – they all look different but they’re all cleaned with basically the same process,’ the professional cleaner revealed in a video.
‘I’ve cleaned every type of stove top that is out there,’ said Kacie Stevens, owner of Melbourne-based cleaning company The Big Clean Co
Kacie begins by removing all the grates and burners from the stove and placing them in soapy water to soak.
‘Next, I vacuum up excess food so that it doesn’t get caught on my cloth because it might scratch the stove,’ she said.
She added, ‘It’s SO RARE that we come into contact with a stove top that hasn’t already been scratched.’

The next step in the process is using a degreaser all over the surface.
Kacie highly recommends the For All Australia degreaser ($23.95) for this step.
‘I really love that I can lather it up,’ she said about the product.
If the stove is still not clean enough, Kacie uses soapy water and the Gumption Paste Multi Purpose Cleanser ($5.40) on stubborn stains.

Kacie also revealed that when cleaning their own stoves, people often forget to make sure they go over the knobs, the range hood, and the filters
‘The only difference is that I will use a non-scratch scouring pad on glass stoves,’ Kacie said.
She added, ‘But a microfiber cloth is perfect for all other stove tops.’
Kacie then simply uses a dry cloth to finally wipe over the surface.
‘There’s no need to use another chemical to polish the stove after,’ she said.
Kacie also revealed that when cleaning their own stoves, people often forget to make sure they go over the knobs, the range hood, and the filters.

Hundreds thanked Kacie for her expert tips.
‘Vacuuming inside is absolutely genius!’ said one woman. ‘I’m going to start doing this!’
‘I feel so stupid for not knowing all the parts come off, including the knobs,’ said another.
She added, ‘I’m on my way to clean my stove again.’
Several also begged Kacie to come to their houses, claiming their stove tops needed a deep clean.
‘Please come to my house, I could never do this myself,’ said one woman.
