SunStar® Heating Products, Inc., a Charlotte, NC, manufacturer of gas-fired heating equipment, is adding a new line of patio heaters. These are designed for restaurants and others in the hospitality industry but are also suitable for apartments, condominiums, and individual residential homeowners. These heaters will be sold by AEI Corporation, an industry-leading outdoor grill, and heating company. AEI is expanding on its tradition of providing the best and most innovative patio cooking and heating products to residential and commercial customers.

“We are excited to expand our premium lineup of comfort heating solutions with the addition of Sunstar® Glass Infrared Heaters. Proudly made in the USA, these models represent the heritage of a partnership built on value, high quality, and innovation to the marketplace.”

– Bryan Molina, Vice President of AEI Corporation.

The new products, SunStar® GLASS heaters, are mountable radiant gas patio heaters. Unlike forced air heaters, these heaters warm surfaces, including chairs, tables, and people. They do this without expending energy to warm the air in between. It’s the same way the sun provides warmth.

This makes restaurant customers comfortable as soon as they sit down while saving the energy costs of warming the surrounding air. SunStar® GLASS heaters help a hospitality business make the most use of its outdoor seating area during the cooler months. They ensure a patio will be attractive even on the occasional chilly summer night.

The heaters mount at the height of from 7 to 10 feet. They come in a standard black model or heavy-duty marine grade stainless steel. There are models available for both liquid propane and for an existing natural gas source. They can be conveniently controlled with an optional wireless remote.

Both the standard SGL GLASS heaters and the marine grade heaters boast the following features:

In addition, the marine grade series is constructed of 316 stainless steel and specially designed for harsh environments.

These are the specific models available:

Great Looking Heaters for Any Environment

These great-looking gas patio heaters are ideal for restaurants, resorts, hotels, golf clubs, marinas, and any other place people gather to enjoy good times and companionship. They provide an added welcoming touch for the new generation of breweries, wineries, and distilleries. They’re suitable for outdoor common areas in condominiums and apartments, and many individual homeowners will find them an excellent choice for their own backyard parties.

Under light wind conditions, a single GLASS heater can cover an area of about 12 by 12 feet. They can be mounted in partially covered areas as well as open spaces. That makes them effective in bars, patios, verandas, vestibules, and outdoor smoking areas.

Restaurant owners and hospitality businesses can expand their outdoor seating hours and attract more business. With the hassle-free remote option, they can change the heating at the touch of a switch if the temperature rises or drops. These heaters make a great selling point for apartments and condominiums, and clubs that offer an outdoor social experience. Individual homeowners can confidently schedule that soiree in advance without worrying that visitors might be too cold. With wind resistance up to 40 MPH, there’s no worry that a blustery day might blow the heat away.

Customers and guests will appreciate the comfort of radiant infrared heating, and home and business owners will appreciate the energy efficiency. That’s because radiant heat, unlike forced air, heats the floor, the chairs, and the people first and then heats the air. With a forced air system, the heated air rises. Even if there is a ceiling, the hot air accumulates and only gradually works to the floor. The floor slab never really warms up. In fact, it acts as a heat sink for the warm air it does receive, draining it out of the room.

With infrared heat, the floor is heated directly, stores that heat, and releases it into the air. It doesn’t require nearly as powerful an energy source to keep people comfortable. The SunStar GLASS heaters keep your guests warm and happy at a lower energy cost than alternative forced-air heating systems.

If an old patio heating system is outdated, unattractive, or inefficient, or for those installing heaters in an outdoor area for the first time, SunStar GLASS radiant patio heaters are the top choice for outdoor seating more inviting. With a comfortably heated outdoor area, there’s no need to worry that a drop in the temperature will drive guests indoors or keep them from venturing out in the first place. AEI Corporation is proud to become the primary e-commerce distributor for this exciting new product.
